Obituary of Malcolm "Mac" Harry Hall

Malcolm “Mac” Harry Hall’s family is sad to announce his passing on April 12, 2024.  Mac was born to late parents William and Mary Hall, in July 1938 in Mayville, New York; he was 85 years old.  

Mac is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Lois Hall, and is survived by sons; Kevin Hall (Christine Hall; grandchildren Madison Hall, Devin Hall, and Allison Hall), William Hall ( Dana Hall; grandchild  Noelle Hall), Micheal Hall, Bob Hall (grandchildren Christy White and Chad Hall), Jimmy Hall, and daughter Tonya Hall (grandchildren Josh Dickerson and David Dickerson) and many great-grandchildren.  

 

Mac spent his life serving and protecting his communities with a successful and distinguished life-long career in law enforcement.  His career began as an Ohio State Police officer.  Afterward, he moved to Florida where he began working for the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.  He finally joined the Polk County Sheriff's Office in the early ’70s and enjoyed a successful career, until Captain “Mac” hung up his hat and retired in 2002.  While working for the Polk County Sheriff’s Office,  Mac also taught and trained many current and former deputies.  

 

After retiring, Mac enjoyed spending time with Lois traveling on many cruises, playing golf, and camping.  He also enjoyed spending time and making unforgettable memories with his many wonderful grandchildren, whom he adored.  

 

A memorial mass and celebration of life will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Chapel in Winter Haven, on June 8, 2024, at 11:30 a.m.
